Use of dimensional tolerances
Keys and keyways have individual tolerances (dimensional tolerances), which allow the designers to determine the degree of coupling by providing a tolerance on the width dimension and allowing them to choose.
- Sliding type: Shaft and hub can slide axially*Select only when disassembling frequently because it is easy to fall off.
- Normal type: Hub fits into a key fixed to the shaft*In general, please specify this
- Tightening type: Tightening the hub to the key fixed on the shaft (hammering in the key)It is not for regular use because it is difficult to assemble.
Note: The above table does not include the sliding type, so we will replace the figure when it does.
