This year's theme was to "look at other people's machines. In order to break free from my own design habits, I ventured to visit many job sites. What I keenly felt there was the reality of how many "latent defects," both large and small, are lurking. Laxity in details made by blank theories on the desk immediately leads to malfunctions in the field.

The true value of a designer lies not in high-spec idealistic narratives, but in "realistic proposals" to the point of muddiness. We have reaffirmed that "strength" is what is needed, including a balance between utility and certainty, and sometimes even compromise. In the next fiscal year, we will pursue "simple and strong design" that gives customers peace of mind, and leave real knowledge that cannot be found in textbooks to the next generation through this blog.
